Ever wondered about the age of the main man, Brian O'Conner, in the Fast & Furious franchise? You're not alone! Let's dive in and figure this out, because who doesn't love a good ol' movie mystery?
Brian's Timeline: A Nutshell
First things first, Brian's journey starts in "The Fast and the Furious" (2001), where he's an undercover cop infiltrating the street racing scene. Then, he's back in "2 Fast 2 Furious" (2003), now working with the FBI. After a decade-long break, he returns in "Fast Five" (2011), and we see him in every movie since, up to "F9" (2021).
So, When's His Birthday?
Here's where it gets tricky. Brian's birthday is never explicitly stated in the movies. But, we can make some educated guesses based on the release dates of the films and the actors' ages.
Must Read
Paul Walker, who played Brian, was born on September 12, 1973. When the first movie came out, he was 27 or 28. Let's assume Brian is around the same age in the movie's timeline.
Brian's Aging Process: A Bit Wonky
Now, let's look at the release dates of the movies and Walker's age at the time:
Mia And Brian Quotes The Fast And The Furious (2001) Brian O'Conner
- 2001 - "The Fast and the Furious" (Walker: 27/28)
- 2003 - "2 Fast 2 Furious" (Walker: 29/30)
- 2011 - "Fast Five" (Walker: 37/38)
- 2013 - "Fast & Furious 6" (Walker: 39/40)
- 2015 - "Furious 7" (Walker: 41/42)
- 2017 - "The Fate of the Furious" (Walker: 43/44)
- 2019 - "Hobbs & Shaw" (Walker: 45/46, but he doesn't appear)
- 2021 - "F9" (Walker: 47/48, but he doesn't appear)
See the issue? Brian seems to age at a different pace than Paul. In the real world, Paul aged 14 years between "The Fast and the Furious" and "Fast Five". But in the movies, only 8 years pass (if we count from the first movie's timeline to "Fast Five"). After that, Brian seems to age normally with Paul, but who knows?
Why Does This Matter?
Who cares, right? Well, it's just fun to think about! It's like trying to figure out if your favorite cartoon characters would be in high school or college by now. Plus, it's a great excuse to rewatch the movies and appreciate Brian's evolution.
And hey, maybe Brian's got some secret anti-aging serum hidden in his Nissan Skyline. After all, in the Fast & Furious universe, anything's possible!
