How Old Is Olivia Pope On Scandal

Guessing Game: Olivia Pope's Age on Scandal

Alright, let's dive into the gladiator's den and tackle a question that's been swirling around the internet like a good ol' Scandal conspiracy. How old is Olivia Pope, the queen of crisis management herself, Kerry Washington's iconic character?

First things first, Kerry Washington was born on January 31, 1977. So, she's been around the block a few times, right? But here's where it gets interesting. Scandal's timeline is a bit of a puzzle. The show started in 2012, but the storylines jump around like a game of hopscotch.

Olivia's Backstory: A Timeline Twist

Olivia's backstory is a doozy. We find out she was a teen mom, and her son, Fitz, was born when she was just 16. That means, in the show's timeline, she'd be around 35 when Scandal kicked off. But hold your horses, because the show's not a linear ride.

Scandal loves a good flashback, and we've seen Olivia at different stages of her life. In one episode, we see her as a young girl, around 10 years old. That puts her birth year at around 1972. But remember, this is a flashback, so it's not the be-all and end-all of her age.

Olivia's Aging Grace: A Mystery

Now, let's talk about Kerry Washington's ageless glow. She's been playing Olivia since 2012, and the show ended in 2018. But does Olivia age like a fine wine, or does she stay frozen in time like a delicious bottle of Pinot Noir in a cellar?

Well, folks, it's a mystery. Scandal doesn't give us a clear answer. We see Olivia in different phases of her life, but the show's timeline is as slippery as a greased-up Fitz. So, we're left to wonder: Is Olivia a timeless gladiator, or is she aging like the rest of us mere mortals?

Plus, it's a testament to Kerry Washington's incredible talent that we can't even tell how old her character is supposed to be.

And let's not forget, Scandal loves a good mystery. From B613 to Defiance, the show thrives on keeping us on the edge of our seats. Olivia's age is just another puzzle piece in the grand scheme of things.

So, What's the Verdict?
