How Old Was Carmelo Anthony When He Retired

Hey there, sports fans! You might've heard the big news - Carmelo Anthony, the NBA legend, has decided to hang up his sneakers. But you know what's got us scratching our heads? Just how old was Carmelo when he called it quits?

So, how old was Carmelo when he retired?

Alright, let's do some math here. Carmelo Anthony was born on May 29, 1984. That makes him a Taurus, right? But more importantly, it makes him 38 years old as of 2022. Can you believe it?

Now, you might be thinking, "That's not old at all! Some players keep going into their 40s!" And you're right. But remember, Carmelo's been in the league since he was just 18. That's like, what, 20 years in the NBA? That's a long time, folks!

Let's put it into perspective

Think about it this way. When Carmelo started his NBA career, the iPhone didn't even exist! People were still using flip phones, and Facebook was only a year old. Now, that's what you call a long career!

And hey, if you're feeling old now, imagine how Carmelo feels. He's been playing alongside guys who were born in the 90s! That's like playing with kids who weren't even born when you started your career. Mind. Blown.

But why is it interesting?

Well, for starters, Carmelo's retirement marks the end of an era. He's been a part of the NBA for so long that it's hard to imagine the league without him. It's like saying goodbye to an old friend, you know?
