How Old Was Kj Apa In Riverdale Season 1

Hey there, Riverdale fans! Ever found yourself binge-watching our favorite teen drama and wondered, "Just how old was KJ Apa when he first stepped into the shoes of Archie Andrews?" Well, buckle up, 'cause we're about to dive into that juicy question, complete with some fun facts and comparisons that'll make you say, "Whoa, no way!"

So, how old was KJ Apa in Riverdale Season 1?

Alright, let's rewind to 2017, when Riverdale first hit our screens. KJ Apa, our charming Archie, was a fresh-faced 19-year-old when he started his journey in the quirky town of Riverdale. Can you believe it? The same age as, say, a first-year college student, or maybe your younger sibling!

Now, you might be thinking, "19? But Archie's supposed to be a high schooler!" Well, hold onto your fries, 'cause here's where it gets interesting. KJ was actually older than some of his on-screen classmates. Cole Sprouse, who plays Jughead, was 24 at the time, making him more like a senior in college than a high school junior. Mind. Blown.

But wait, there's more!

Let's compare KJ's age to some other iconic teen roles. When he started Riverdale, he was around the same age Leonardo DiCaprio was when he played Romeo in "Romeo + Juliet" – 21, to be exact. And get this: KJ was older than Zendaya was when she started "Euphoria," another show filled with high school drama. She was just 20 when it premiered!

Now, you might be wondering, "Why does it matter how old KJ was?" Well, it's all about perspective, folks. Seeing an older actor play a high schooler can sometimes add an extra layer of depth to the character. Plus, it's just plain fascinating to see the age gaps between actors and their on-screen counterparts!
