So, When's This New 'Wuthering Heights' Movie Gonna Blow Into Town?
Alright, gather 'round, bookworms and movie buffs. You know how it is when you're waiting for your favorite author to drop a new novel, or when you're eagerly refreshing Netflix for that new movie everyone's talking about? Yeah, that's the vibe we're going for here. We're chatting about the new 'Wuthering Heights' movie, and let me tell you, it's been as elusive as a ghost in the fog.
Now, you might be thinking, "But didn't they already make a 'Wuthering Heights' movie?" Well, yes, dear reader, they did. But this time, it's different. This time, it's a new adaptation. You know how your mom's got that one recipe she's been making since forever, but then one day, she decides to throw in some kale and call it a 'new' dish? That's kind of what's happening here. Only, instead of kale, it's a whole new take on Emily Brontë's classic novel.
So, What's the Deal with This New 'Wuthering Heights'?
Well, it's been a bit of a rollercoaster, hasn't it? It's like waiting for your friend who's always fashionably late to show up at the party. You know they're coming, but when? That's the million-dollar question. The new 'Wuthering Heights' movie, directed by Andrea Arnold, was first announced back in 2019. Then, it was set to release in 2020. But then, 2020 happened, and we all know how that went. So, the movie got pushed back.

Now, here's where it gets a bit tricky. The movie was initially set to premiere at the Venice Film Festival in 2020. But then, the festival went virtual due to the pandemic. And guess who didn't make the virtual cut? That's right, our dear 'Wuthering Heights'. It was like being invited to the coolest party, only to find out it's now a Zoom call. Not quite the same, is it?
But Wait, There's More!
So, after that little hiccup, we thought, "Surely, it's coming out soon now, right?" Wrong. The movie was then set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2021. But, as we all know, life had other plans. The pandemic threw another spanner in the works, and the movie's release was delayed yet again.

So, When Can We Expect This New 'Wuthering Heights'?
Well, as of now, there's no official release date. It's like waiting for a bus, isn't it? You wait for ages, and then two come along at once. Or, in this case, none come at all. But fear not, dear readers. We're keeping our eyes peeled, and as soon as we hear anything, you'll be the first to know.
In the meantime, why not dust off your copy of 'Wuthering Heights' and give it another read? After all, it's been a while since we've all been swept away by Catherine and Heathcliff's tumultuous love story. And who knows? Maybe by the time you've finished the book, the movie will finally be here. Until then, keep your eyes on the horizon, folks. The new 'Wuthering Heights' is coming, and it's going to be one heck of a storm.
