But wait, there's more!
Now, you might be thinking, "But, but, he looked so much older in the movie!" I know, I know, it's the magic of cinema, my friend. Those big, blue eyes and that mop of hair made him seem like a little adult. But no, he was just a kid, navigating the wild world of being "home alone".
And let's not forget, this was his big break! Before "Home Alone", little Macaulay had only been in a few TV shows and movies. But after this holiday classic, he became a household name. Talk about a Christmas miracle!
Growing Up Culkin
So, what happened to our favorite little scamp after he became a Hollywood sensation? Well, he grew up, of course! And let me tell you, he's had quite the journey.
After a string of successful movies, including "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York" and "My Girl", Macaulay took a step back from acting. He went to college, studied acting some more, and even formed a pizza-themed Velvet Underground cover band called The Pizza Underground. Yes, you read that right. Pizza. Underground.
But enough about his adult life, let's get back to the main event: "Home Alone". Because let's face it, that's why you're really here, right?

Why We Still Love Kevin
So, why do we still love Kevin McCallister all these years later? Is it his quick thinking? His one-liners? His ability to outsmart two bumbling burglars with nothing but a paint can and some aftershave?
Maybe it's because he reminds us of our own childhoods, or maybe it's just because he's hilarious. Whatever it is, there's something about that kid that just makes us smile. And isn't that what it's all about?
So, How Old Is He Now?
Alright, alright, I can see you're getting impatient. As of 2021, Macaulay Culkin is a ripe old age of 41. Can you believe it? The kid who melted our hearts with his booby traps and his "Keep the change, you filthy animal" line is all grown up.
But hey, no matter how old he gets, he'll always be little Kevin McCallister to us. And that, my friend, is something worth celebrating.
